Mahika Kanchanam, In-Depth Editor
My name is Mahika Kanchanam (she/her). As a senior, this is my third year on the Hoofbeat Staff, and I am excited to be the in-depth editor. I can’t wait to learn more about the community and write stories that advocate for the issues in my community as well as bring out a bright side through entertaining features and stories. Apart from journalism, I enjoy being a part of the forensics team at Millard North and leading Interact Club, a club focused on volunteerism. I love to travel to new places, make fun memories with my friends and family, express myself through dance, and listen to and write music. I am not the best cook, but I definitely enjoy my food. I hope to continue helping people by pursuing medicine in the future.
